Roy enjoyed a successful 31-year career in employee benefits consulting and retirement planning. In that role, he discovered a gift for mentoring people. Roy’s interest in developing that talent eventually led him to pursue a career in counseling. His business consulting experiences provide a foundation for practical direction in dealing with relationship issues, mid-life transitions, and financial challenges.

Roy earned his Master of Arts in Mental Health/Educational Specialist from Gardner-Webb University. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, he is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
